I’ve been working steadily on this book for about two years now. Two years. That is nothing compared to how long I’ve wanted to write and illustrate a children’s book, which is the grand sum of my entire life… so two years does not actually seem that long. In that two years I’ve been learning about the industry, figuring out who my characters are and what they will look like, and writing, re-writing, drawing, re-drawing, little by little, bird by bird, getting it done.
It is now printed out as a dummy– a mockup of what the book can and will be someday. Time to find a red pencil and make the final edits, page by page, circling where the margins don’t quite line up, or where there is an error in punctuation, or where, as is the case on one page, the text got left off completely.
Then, I’ll print the final dummies and begin the next part of this project which is to find someone who will want to take on my book as a project to get published.
Bird by bird, my mantra. I can see every step ahead of me, and I’m inching my way up this staircase.
it will get done.

Without a doubt your bird will fly high! I loved what you had posted before, just like I’m so impressed by your expressive beautiful daughters. Best wishes! Still would love to adopt you & your family.
